Tamper proof NFC bottle seal label tag NFC-7132TP can be applied to high-value retail items, allowing consumers to tap their NFC enabled device onto the product to authenticate and ascertain the genuineness of the product.

However, standard NFC labels can be peeled open without damaging the RFID circuitry and can be cleanly transferred to a fake or a counterfeit item. So when consumers use their NFC enabled device to authenticate, they are essentially authenticating successfully, a fake or counterfeited product.

Tamper proof NFC labels use a unique label construction, where any attempt made to open the label results in breakage of the RFID circuitry, rendering the tag non-readable. A non-readable tag makes the authenticity check unsuccessful.

The NFC seal bottle tag is designed such that it applied covering the bottle cap opening and the neck/body of the bottle. Any attempt to open the cap results in breakage of the NFC seal. Also, no attempt can make the SEAL come off intact for re-application.

Brands need to advertise on product packaging, encouraging consumers to use their NFC enabled device to check the authenticity of the expensive products before purchasing.

This solution also allows the retailer to scan and check the authenticity of each individual item before making them available for sale to consumers. Any non-scanning tags can be reported back to the manufacturer/supplier/distributor.
